PoseLoop

Hands-free interval photos for tripod and prop-up shooting.

Download on the App Store

PoseLoop turns your iPhone into a hands-free interval camera. Set it down, dial in your timing, and step into the frame — every shot is saved straight to your Photos library, no fiddling required.

Set it and step in

Pick a photo interval, a start delay, and how many shots to take. PoseLoop handles the rest while you pose.

Saved instantly

Every shot is written straight to Photos and grouped into a PoseLoop album, ready to scroll through later.

Front, back, or zoomed

Switch cameras, pick a rear-lens zoom, mirror the selfie cam — all without breaking your session.

Stays on your device

No accounts, no analytics, no servers. Your photos and settings never leave your iPhone.

Summary

PoseLoop is a single-purpose camera app. It does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data. Everything happens on your iPhone.

Who runs PoseLoop

PoseLoop is an independent iOS app developed and operated by Benjamin Staab (“we,” “us”). Questions about this policy can be sent to plugin-syllabi1t@icloud.com.

What we collect

Nothing. PoseLoop does not run any backend servers and does not include any accounts, sign-ups, analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, tracking pixels, crash-reporting services, or third-party data-sharing of any kind. No information about you or your device ever leaves your iPhone through PoseLoop.

Permissions PoseLoop asks for

iOS will prompt you to grant the permissions below. PoseLoop uses them only for the purposes described, and never transmits the data anywhere.

  • Camera access — used to display the live camera preview and capture the photos you take during a session. Captured frames are saved directly to your Photos library; no copy is sent off-device.
  • Photo Library access (add & read) — used to save each captured photo into your Photos library, organize them into a “PoseLoop” album, and display them inside the in-app gallery. If you grant “Limited” access, PoseLoop only sees the photos you’ve explicitly chosen to share with it.

You can revoke either permission at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera or Photos → PoseLoop.

What PoseLoop stores on your device

  • Your capture preferences (interval, start delay, photo count, flash and night-mode settings, camera selection, etc.).
  • A first-launch timestamp (in UTC) and the app version that was installed at that moment. This is used internally to identify long-time users for future free-feature unlocks. It is stored only in your device’s local app preferences and is never transmitted.
  • Whether you have completed the onboarding screen.

This information lives in your iPhone’s standard app-preferences storage (UserDefaults). It is removed automatically when you delete the app.

Photos you capture

Photos captured by PoseLoop are saved directly to your iPhone’s Photos library, under your control. They are not duplicated, mirrored, or uploaded anywhere by PoseLoop. If you choose to share a photo using the iOS share sheet, that sharing is governed by whichever destination app or service you select — not by PoseLoop.

Children’s privacy

PoseLoop is a general-audience photography utility and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, because we do not collect personal information from anyone.

Your rights and choices

  • Revoke permissions at any time in iOS Settings.
  • Delete app data by removing PoseLoop from your home screen — iOS automatically clears all of the app’s local storage at that point.
  • Manage saved photos in the iOS Photos app at any time. PoseLoop has no special claim on photos in your library.
  • Contact us about anything privacy-related at plugin-syllabi1t@icloud.com.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this same URL with a new effective date. Material changes will also be noted in an upcoming app update’s release notes.

Frequently asked questions

The camera preview is stuck on “Preparing camera.” What’s happening?
Make sure PoseLoop has Camera access in Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera → PoseLoop. If the toggle is off, the preview cannot initialize.
I don’t see any of my captured photos in the in-app gallery.
Check Photos access in Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → PoseLoop. If you granted “Limited Access,” the gallery only displays the photos you’ve explicitly shared with PoseLoop.
How do I stop a session that’s already running?
Tap the large round Stop button at the bottom of the capture screen. The photos that have already been captured stay safely in your Photos library.
Why does the loop slow down in low light?
That’s Night Mode prioritizing shot quality over timing. You can switch Night Mode to Off in Settings if you’d rather keep a steady interval at the cost of low-light quality.
How do I delete everything PoseLoop has stored?
Delete the app from your iPhone’s home screen. iOS removes the app’s local preferences automatically. Photos already saved to your Photos library remain — those are yours.
Does PoseLoop work on iPad?
PoseLoop is designed for iPhone running iOS 26 or later.
How do I request a feature?
